I am working on a quilt that includes both indigo and turmeric dyed fabrics. I especially like the look of dyed linen, but I am over dyeing printed cotton fabrics with great success. I have been using cyanotypes in my current works, and I dyed this leaf cyanotype in turmeric too.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I have been away from blogging for a few years, instead posting pictures on Instagram and Facebook. I have a new, exciting collaboration to talk about, and there will be lots of things to write about, so this is the perfect time to begin blogging again!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">The collaboration is called <a href="https://www.facebook.com/quaintcollaboration/">Qu-Aint</a>, which stands for Quilt + Paint. It consists of one painter, <a href="https://artbyjasonwilson.com/">Jason Wilson</a>, and seven quilters(including me), that I look forward to introducing to you to as our collaboration continues!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Our first show is in Tulsa, Oklahoma in September. It will consist of at least seven quilts inspired by one of Jason's paintings, </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><b>Twisted Diamonds.</b></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l4rBnfzgpHw/XVdtCHn_nTI/AAAAAAAAFaU/3aUlylBSTTgHQJo5DwKOpEK1SBtufwv7gCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/fullsizeoutput_afaf.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="308" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l4rBnfzgpHw/XVdtCHn_nTI/AAAAAAAAFaU/3aUlylBSTTgHQJo5DwKOpEK1SBtufwv7gCK4BGAYYCw/s320/fullsizeoutput_afaf.jpeg" width="320" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I was inspired by the two little hourglass(sometimes called quarter square) quilt blocks in Jason's painting. I named my quilt, </span><b style="font-family: "trebuchet ms", sans-serif;">Time.</b><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> I am aware of how precious the passage of time is, and I am fond of the Pink Floyd song that reminds us that time can slip by before we realize it. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I have been naturally dyeing fabrics and decided that this was the perfect "time" to start using them. I chose indigo and avocado dyed linen with an indigo shibori center. </span><br />

I am doing a 100 day project. I have seen different people doing them(some are painting, journaling, writing...each day) on IG and I decided it would be a fun exercise to sew the same block everyday, so I am making<a href="http://www.ohfransson.com/all-projects/the-cat-mini-quilt"> Elizabeth Hartman's cat blocks</a>.</div>
<br />

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I decided to use my black and white stash, and I am having fun doing a little bit of fussy cutting as I go. Today is day seven, so once again I will be playing in my black and white scraps tonight!</div>

One project has been fun and a little different for me. I have been trying to figure out a way to frame a mini quilt, and I started playing with the idea of mounting them on canvas. It is kind of quirky, but I kind of like it too!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I painted the heart mini canvas before I mounted it, and I like the darker canvas with the wool heart, but the unpainted canvases makes the mini quilts pop, and I like that too...decisions, decisions : )</span></div>

Once a month there is a new challenge, a different skill or technique to try, and the instructor for the month will send a PDF with the instructions for the challenge they are teaching. This month the challenge was Shapes and Curves Using Bias Tape by <a href="http://www.spottedstone.blogspot.com/">Krista Fleckenstein of Spotted Stones blog.</a></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I have made bias tape before and used it a few times for basket handles </span><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">in quilt blocks</span><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">, but it was definitely a fun challenge that I needed to give a try again. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Here is the design that I chose for my bias tape mini quilt: </span></div>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-p5FHgAMRYIg/VqQuXptpmMI/AAAAAAAAFTQ/LpBM6WmBRsU/s1600/IMG_4947.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="peace sign" border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-p5FHgAMRYIg/VqQuXptpmMI/AAAAAAAAFTQ/LpBM6WmBRsU/s400/IMG_4947.JPG" title="bias tape mini quilt" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">It was a fun little project, and I do like the peace sign! I used a variegated thread to sew the bias tape down and it blended well with the bias tape.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I was first introduced to indigo dyeing at The Makerie Sewing Retreat with Kaari Meng from French General that I blogged about <a href="http://piecefullife-elizabeth.blogspot.com/2013/05/show-off-fridayindigo-dye.html#.VprnU4TAfOY"><span style="color: #38761d;">here.</span> </a> I have always planned to do it again, and thanks to my friend, Agnes, I got the chance : )<br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The <a href="http://www.okcmqg.com/">OKCMQG</a> displays quilts every year at the OKC Winter Quilt Show and we also have a booth to answer questions about Modern quilting. I made a quilt with the <a href="http://sewkindofwonderful.com/">quick curve ruler </a>that I call "Friendship Beads."</span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I quilted in my go-to straight-line machine quilting and I used variegated thread to give interest and texture to the quilt. The quilt didn't show up well on the black background of the curtains, but one of my friends said that it drew you in to see it closer and then the quilting could be appreciated : ) Aren't friends wonderful! </span><br />

She is a physical therapist for children at a rehabilitation hospital. At the end of her workday, she sits at her desk to fill out the daily paperwork and her office is cold. Like most quilters, I have a pile of quilt tops waiting in line to be finished, so I looked through the pile and I found a small one that would be perfect for her office lap quilt.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is also my entry in the <a href="http://amyscreativeside.com/2015/10/23/bqf-small-quilt-category/">small quilt category i</a>n the <a href="http://amyscreativeside.com/2015/10/23/bloggers-quilt-festival-fall-2015-edition/">Blogger's Quilt Festival</a> Fall 2015. I thought I'd begin with a relaxing project that is making me happy. Why? Because I have had these vintage blocks for years and haven't known what to do with them. Well, I decided to do some needle-turn appliqué and these vintage blocks make the perfect background!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I don't know about you, but I like to have some sort of "slow stitching" project handy. This one is going to be fun.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I decided to cut out petals, and when I layed them out, it seemed that five were just enough.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Jexuz_k92fw/VhGzHN8c8BI/AAAAAAAAFN0/qMBDuyPYRlM/s1600/IMG_0042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Jexuz_k92fw/VhGzHN8c8BI/AAAAAAAAFN0/qMBDuyPYRlM/s400/IMG_0042.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hx_fOG5K-YY/VhGzHchCu4I/AAAAAAAAFOE/ZtAq-bCt1BM/s1600/IMG_0043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hx_fOG5K-YY/VhGzHchCu4I/AAAAAAAAFOE/ZtAq-bCt1BM/s400/IMG_0043.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My next step was basting the petals a little more than 1/4 inch away from the edge.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zD5CZGbWrQw/VhGzHVGNhmI/AAAAAAAAFOI/uq62ld6K-ns/s1600/IMG_0044.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zD5CZGbWrQw/VhGzHVGNhmI/AAAAAAAAFOI/uq62ld6K-ns/s320/IMG_0044.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tuog3gEG-JI/VhGzJQlmcmI/AAAAAAAAFOg/USewOlVJ9lc/s1600/IMG_0047.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tuog3gEG-JI/VhGzJQlmcmI/AAAAAAAAFOg/USewOlVJ9lc/s400/IMG_0047.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now it was time for some slow stitching...in this case, needle-turn appliqué.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9C2frKwV1KQ/VhGzKE_q_oI/AAAAAAAAFOk/n-7ju5GqGIM/s1600/IMG_0048.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9C2frKwV1KQ/VhGzKE_q_oI/AAAAAAAAFOk/n-7ju5GqGIM/s400/IMG_0048.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I plan to make a at least a dozen blocks, so my hope is that "practice makes perfect", and I will get more comfortable with my appliqué stitch as I go along : )</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Here are two finished Petal blocks:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

I saw the coolest video about a no-sew garden apron on<a href="http://www.chow.com/videos/show/chow-tips/108154/how-to-recycle-jeans-into-a-garden-apron"> CHOW</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I immediately had to make one, so I took photos to show you how to make one too!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First you find an old pair of jeans: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v9x_rvwCCNI/VRrjt7_aB9I/AAAAAAAAFMk/LvyHaCbG_xQ/s1600/IMG_1966.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v9x_rvwCCNI/VRrjt7_aB9I/AAAAAAAAFMk/LvyHaCbG_xQ/s1600/IMG_1966.JPG" height="297" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now cut off the legs all the way across(front and back).</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cHRcH0Zl5EU/VRrjvaTnpvI/AAAAAAAAFMs/Jc8_AVPBqRA/s1600/IMG_1967.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cHRcH0Zl5EU/VRrjvaTnpvI/AAAAAAAAFMs/Jc8_AVPBqRA/s1600/IMG_1967.JPG" height="275" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Turn them over and cut below the waistband and down the seam on each side.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TGJCTnjHsRQ/VRrjv-tHhFI/AAAAAAAAFMw/XhghoEqrzQg/s1600/IMG_1968.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TGJCTnjHsRQ/VRrjv-tHhFI/AAAAAAAAFMw/XhghoEqrzQg/s1600/IMG_1968.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
TA DA….you have an apron, ready to wear!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gHQfcV3ar1U/VRrjztlBO6I/AAAAAAAAFNA/M-D-98WldpU/s1600/IMG_1969.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gHQfcV3ar1U/VRrjztlBO6I/AAAAAAAAFNA/M-D-98WldpU/s1600/IMG_1969.JPG" height="241" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Put it around your waist and snap or button, then fill the pockets</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
with your garden tools and go play : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NsjI-lh-Pfc/VRrj0nXZavI/AAAAAAAAFNM/wfznDf3J0hY/s1600/IMG_1970.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NsjI-lh-Pfc/VRrj0nXZavI/AAAAAAAAFNM/wfznDf3J0hY/s1600/IMG_1970.JPG" height="302" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I suppose you could embellish it with fabric or lace, but this one</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
will stay as it is and I am ready to put it to work on this beautiful Spring day.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XOgYUUeL5Dw/VRrjzD_HiAI/AAAAAAAAFM8/VJm1USQVl0M/s1600/IMG_1974.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="garden apron tutorial" border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XOgYUUeL5Dw/VRrjzD_HiAI/AAAAAAAAFM8/VJm1USQVl0M/s1600/IMG_1974.jpg" height="400" title="no sew garden apron" width="323" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How was that for a quick and easy project….</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I made a mini quilt for the Liberty of London Swap 2.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started with hexagons and then sewed them together</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
into a heart. My swap partner likes hearts, so that helped</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
me decide what to do with the hexagons.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5Ec3DSytYoM/VP0bvIwK3wI/AAAAAAAAFK8/EDn6w6GO41g/s1600/IMG_0033.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5Ec3DSytYoM/VP0bvIwK3wI/AAAAAAAAFK8/EDn6w6GO41g/s1600/IMG_0033.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Essex linen/cotton blend in gray for the background and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
it really set off the bright colors of the hexagons.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N6aEuaTHV7A/VP0buVLfsYI/AAAAAAAAFK4/RFGySSIgr8I/s1600/IMG_0029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N6aEuaTHV7A/VP0buVLfsYI/AAAAAAAAFK4/RFGySSIgr8I/s1600/IMG_0029.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I machine quilted on the diagonal in straight stitches and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I chose a bright LOL fabric for the binding.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m5djS-eKLKc/VP0bq64MIdI/AAAAAAAAFKo/leJhnsRYkSY/s1600/IMG_0032.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m5djS-eKLKc/VP0bq64MIdI/AAAAAAAAFKo/leJhnsRYkSY/s1600/IMG_0032.JPG" height="293" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My swap partner received my package this week and is pleased with her mini quilt!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I sent a few other small quilted items that I will post about later in the week.</div>

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Jd2aVSETdSs/VPfjraGgftI/AAAAAAAAFJw/EMqnWplAGGU/s1600/IMG_0078.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Jd2aVSETdSs/VPfjraGgftI/AAAAAAAAFJw/EMqnWplAGGU/s1600/IMG_0078.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I didn't know what a needle minder/pin keeper was until I saw one on one</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
of my friends IG(Instagram). I wanted to make one and I found a </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
cool IG tutorial on <a href="http://www.whatthebobbin.com/2014/11/22/needle-minder-tutorial-giveaway-on-ig/">What the Bobbin blog</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can use a needle minder for hand stitching, embroidery, cross stitch, appliqué,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
hand binding a quilt…any time you need to keep track of your needles or pins!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So here are a few that I have made today along with a mini tutorial….they are a bit addicting : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Supplies:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Button cover kit</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Magnets</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Fabric </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Super Glue<br />
Scissors</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6bV35ze-T54/VPfjpALHHfI/AAAAAAAAFJU/iL8gITitfzw/s1600/IMG_0056.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="pin keeper tutorial" border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6bV35ze-T54/VPfjpALHHfI/AAAAAAAAFJU/iL8gITitfzw/s1600/IMG_0056.JPG" height="300" title="needle minder keeper tutorial" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Use the template provided in the button cover kit to draw a circle for the button.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5tlnRJcXAnY/VPfjojtz_JI/AAAAAAAAFJM/rRruz0hIfk8/s1600/IMG_0058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5tlnRJcXAnY/VPfjojtz_JI/AAAAAAAAFJM/rRruz0hIfk8/s1600/IMG_0058.JPG" height="298" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cover the button according to the directions given in the kit.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5tlnRJcXAnY/VPfjojtz_JI/AAAAAAAAFJM/rRruz0hIfk8/s1600/IMG_0058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><br /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5tlnRJcXAnY/VPfjojtz_JI/AAAAAAAAFJM/rRruz0hIfk8/s1600/IMG_0058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"> </a> <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uZw2ghjztxg/VPfjoq10u7I/AAAAAAAAFJQ/VQXmsJWck_k/s1600/IMG_0063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uZw2ghjztxg/VPfjoq10u7I/AAAAAAAAFJQ/VQXmsJWck_k/s1600/IMG_0063.JPG" height="400" width="333" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Apply super glue to attach the magnet to the button.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0d3TEUrPYAc/VPfkk5MikkI/AAAAAAAAFKI/yD50lOZtPUY/s1600/IMG_3042.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0d3TEUrPYAc/VPfkk5MikkI/AAAAAAAAFKI/yD50lOZtPUY/s1600/IMG_3042.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="text-align: center;">You will need two magnets when using your needle minder.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1epMmXga-Vs/VPfklXnMxFI/AAAAAAAAFKQ/EBgKNSFf01A/s1600/IMG_3043.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1epMmXga-Vs/VPfklXnMxFI/AAAAAAAAFKQ/EBgKNSFf01A/s1600/IMG_3043.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Mid Century Modern Bee.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
asked for blocks of various sizes in bright colors on text print fabric.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We could make any type block that we wanted and I opted for</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
some 6.5 inch pinwheel blocks.</div>

I made a few gifts this week. Both projects were fast and easy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First up…..some flax seed eye pillows….very relaxing when heated in the microwave.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4YQ6jGFqn1o/VIFKQHC49EI/AAAAAAAAFHg/eK64mLqb1Ak/s1600/IMG_3985.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4YQ6jGFqn1o/VIFKQHC49EI/AAAAAAAAFHg/eK64mLqb1Ak/s1600/IMG_3985.jpg" height="400" width="391" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6QKOYEyiICc/VIFKQdt2rHI/AAAAAAAAFHk/7Gr1U800NfE/s1600/IMG_3986.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6QKOYEyiICc/VIFKQdt2rHI/AAAAAAAAFHk/7Gr1U800NfE/s1600/IMG_3986.JPG" height="390" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next I made some hand warmers filled with rice….also heated in the microwave!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0m9qz1GPxU0/VIFKYK46g5I/AAAAAAAAFHs/S3e_-181xcc/s1600/IMG_3987.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0m9qz1GPxU0/VIFKYK46g5I/AAAAAAAAFHs/S3e_-181xcc/s1600/IMG_3987.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hpItZPjsVL0/VIFKYhzfEgI/AAAAAAAAFHw/utXxAS9Vjqk/s1600/IMG_3988.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hpItZPjsVL0/VIFKYhzfEgI/AAAAAAAAFHw/utXxAS9Vjqk/s1600/IMG_3988.jpg" height="400" width="351" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Both of these projects are a great way to use some of your favorite scraps : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I bought my first Cotton and Steel fabric from my local quilt shop.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have really enjoyed working with these colors.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I pulled 30 of the 10 inch squares and cut four 5 inch charms from each.<br />
I sewed them together in rows of 10, keeping the placement of the squares<br />
consistent each time. I am calling this a "controlled scrappy" quilt : )<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UCovcNoQQr0/VHkFOdHAASI/AAAAAAAAFHI/aOo6ktswo_c/s1600/IMG_3961.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="cotton and steel charms" border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UCovcNoQQr0/VHkFOdHAASI/AAAAAAAAFHI/aOo6ktswo_c/s1600/IMG_3961.jpg" height="640" title="charms on point tutorial" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I decided to use the technique "turning charms on point" that I like to use so often.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are some process photos showing you how I go through the process of "turning charms on point."</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Make the first cut from the corner and keep it straight!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E7UMhW80amM/VHkE3fcOlMI/AAAAAAAAFGk/2U7g-L8U9-Q/s1600/IMG_1948.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E7UMhW80amM/VHkE3fcOlMI/AAAAAAAAFGk/2U7g-L8U9-Q/s1600/IMG_1948.jpg" height="400" width="386" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now the bottom will be sewn to the top.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CBmIgNx3oyk/VHkE2UukMdI/AAAAAAAAFGc/JyirQoSWJsE/s1600/IMG_1952.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CBmIgNx3oyk/VHkE2UukMdI/AAAAAAAAFGc/JyirQoSWJsE/s1600/IMG_1952.JPG" height="320" width="198" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RR7WatetFOk/VHkE4UxO8dI/AAAAAAAAFGs/3SLQB1epii8/s1600/IMG_1951.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RR7WatetFOk/VHkE4UxO8dI/AAAAAAAAFGs/3SLQB1epii8/s1600/IMG_1951.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next cut the bottom as straight as you can : )</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eSZ3gY6CgXM/VHkE_dffY6I/AAAAAAAAFHE/_oi-5IqbbHk/s1600/IMG_1954.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eSZ3gY6CgXM/VHkE_dffY6I/AAAAAAAAFHE/_oi-5IqbbHk/s1600/IMG_1954.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now sew the diagonal together.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-s89G1dGiAGQ/VHkE_J04_zI/AAAAAAAAFHA/QmO7ZSoKjZc/s1600/IMG_1955.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-s89G1dGiAGQ/VHkE_J04_zI/AAAAAAAAFHA/QmO7ZSoKjZc/s1600/IMG_1955.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And there you have it…you have turned the charms on point!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XFuLZ3O_alY/VHkFWEpDheI/AAAAAAAAFHU/yS1GzCPy06k/s1600/IMG_2639.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XFuLZ3O_alY/VHkFWEpDheI/AAAAAAAAFHU/yS1GzCPy06k/s1600/IMG_2639.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
I have the feeling there will be more controlled scrappy quilts in my future,<br />
I really like the look!<br />

</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2KwuAQT7VI8/VHNZqfv50TI/AAAAAAAAFF4/hugwshrAmfY/s1600/IMG_1945.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2KwuAQT7VI8/VHNZqfv50TI/AAAAAAAAFF4/hugwshrAmfY/s1600/IMG_1945.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a fast and easy doll quilt this week with the cutest "little red riding hood" fabric.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started with two fat quarters of fabric and cut ten 5 inch </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
squares from each.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sHUXzsnrTLg/VHNZldRu4tI/AAAAAAAAFFk/EtQb2keiWXE/s1600/IMG_1932.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sHUXzsnrTLg/VHNZldRu4tI/AAAAAAAAFFk/EtQb2keiWXE/s1600/IMG_1932.jpg" height="640" width="544" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It went together really fast and then I decided to use the flip and turn method to finish. But </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I still wanted the look of binding, so I made a faux binding by adding a one inch border before</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I sewed the backing to the front and batting.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a1g_ZGf9Ado/VHNZpAdkuJI/AAAAAAAAFF0/7Hj_cYhck5o/s1600/IMG_1938.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a1g_ZGf9Ado/VHNZpAdkuJI/AAAAAAAAFF0/7Hj_cYhck5o/s1600/IMG_1938.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After I clipped the corners and turned the quilt out, I hand sewed the opening up.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then to make the red checked border look like binding, I sewed along the edge...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and it looks pretty believable : )</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8HcvPi4MOtM/VHNZov6VYoI/AAAAAAAAFFw/f4NYmbvcQtc/s1600/IMG_1944.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8HcvPi4MOtM/VHNZov6VYoI/AAAAAAAAFFw/f4NYmbvcQtc/s1600/IMG_1944.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2KwuAQT7VI8/VHNZqfv50TI/AAAAAAAAFF8/1_6ZjT7yA0g/s1600/IMG_1945.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2KwuAQT7VI8/VHNZqfv50TI/AAAAAAAAFF8/1_6ZjT7yA0g/s1600/IMG_1945.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sometimes I just need a quick project to start and finish.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yD5eV1Pipp4/VHNZt6b9tyI/AAAAAAAAFGI/uA_EwiUuadY/s1600/IMG_1946.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yD5eV1Pipp4/VHNZt6b9tyI/AAAAAAAAFGI/uA_EwiUuadY/s1600/IMG_1946.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I machine quilted this little doll quilt with simple diagonal lines.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7QmvMo9XEro/VHNZuBz9lRI/AAAAAAAAFGM/N57VsFx20yg/s1600/IMG_1947.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7QmvMo9XEro/VHNZuBz9lRI/AAAAAAAAFGM/N57VsFx20yg/s1600/IMG_1947.jpg" height="255" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I will be making more of these….they are a great scrap buster project!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
piece,</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I finally finished my wool appliqué quilt that I started</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
several years ago!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It has been a fun project to pick up and stitch…. a few blocks at a time.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-k8Fphuh73A4/VG5liJ4_zuI/AAAAAAAAFEc/73ZSqlurExQ/s1600/IMG_1908.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-k8Fphuh73A4/VG5liJ4_zuI/AAAAAAAAFEc/73ZSqlurExQ/s1600/IMG_1908.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used gold perle cotton to blanket stitch around the hearts and also to tie the</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
top to the flannel backing. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wTtz4bECEFI/VG5m7iEShZI/AAAAAAAAFFQ/nsSUL-I9syY/s1600/IMG_3927.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wTtz4bECEFI/VG5m7iEShZI/AAAAAAAAFFQ/nsSUL-I9syY/s1600/IMG_3927.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's little tip to make threading your needles easier…thread lots of needles at once.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
That way when you run out of thread on one needle, the next is ready to go!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I decided the pull my threads to the back of the quilt so that the front would look smooth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I didn't use any batting with the wool and flannel because that would have</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
made it very heavy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a very cozy little quilt that I know will come in handy this winter.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f30mvrNhphM/VGluHhEq2JI/AAAAAAAAFDc/LBitbcRecgc/s1600/IMG_2566.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f30mvrNhphM/VGluHhEq2JI/AAAAAAAAFDc/LBitbcRecgc/s1600/IMG_2566.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span id="goog_44255257"></span>This week-end I made some hexagon coasters like the tutorial I first showed you<a href="http://piecefullife-elizabeth.blogspot.com/2014/10/liberty-of-london-coasters.html#.VGltnkv7VFw"> here</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The weather was cold and I decided to pull out my bag of finished hexagons.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5IdutcjEwM8fX0HwinfgdC4Rs7tSRLsYO1ue4fl3CVsYWbLyKFxy2ikvr_PcExo-jISIgfplgzS49O1Fv8sNXo07brkDdtpwysmouH5CZCMGs8u6cNksWU0AcypK4NVYBRtkiWnf1A11O/s1600/IMG_2558.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5IdutcjEwM8fX0HwinfgdC4Rs7tSRLsYO1ue4fl3CVsYWbLyKFxy2ikvr_PcExo-jISIgfplgzS49O1Fv8sNXo07brkDdtpwysmouH5CZCMGs8u6cNksWU0AcypK4NVYBRtkiWnf1A11O/s1600/IMG_2558.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I sewed twelve hexagons into pairs.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rflNlKz7MKI/VGlt3-OBZyI/AAAAAAAAFDE/Tgf3BD1Qbrs/s1600/IMG_2559.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rflNlKz7MKI/VGlt3-OBZyI/AAAAAAAAFDE/Tgf3BD1Qbrs/s1600/IMG_2559.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wuDEYhVYHuQ/VGmJKIqw38I/AAAAAAAAFD4/IFrrK6RW6Ys/s1600/IMG_2563.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wuDEYhVYHuQ/VGmJKIqw38I/AAAAAAAAFD4/IFrrK6RW6Ys/s1600/IMG_2563.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I decided to use the blue essex linen that I had in my stash.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S4fRGsuxqUA/VGluGD1uqBI/AAAAAAAAFDQ/2uJRF4i1AsM/s1600/IMG_2564.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S4fRGsuxqUA/VGluGD1uqBI/AAAAAAAAFDQ/2uJRF4i1AsM/s1600/IMG_2564.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I sewed them to the linen using a variegated thread with a big stitch.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ewmsaXKmIK8/VGluHnFLFhI/AAAAAAAAFDY/-HhJzzAHVEI/s1600/IMG_2565.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ewmsaXKmIK8/VGluHnFLFhI/AAAAAAAAFDY/-HhJzzAHVEI/s1600/IMG_2565.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am so happy with them…they will make a great gift!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z1Rv0SqGHFY/VGluc3jCXJI/AAAAAAAAFDo/ivsu0IIijC8/s1600/IMG_2571.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="coasters gifts" border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z1Rv0SqGHFY/VGluc3jCXJI/AAAAAAAAFDo/ivsu0IIijC8/s1600/IMG_2571.jpg" height="640" title="hexagon coasters" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Do you have any easy to make gifts to tell me about?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I would love to hear about them : )</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
piece,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I decided to make a table runner for my Thanksgiving table. I bought 3 yards</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
of burlap at my local quilt shop. I had purchased burlap once before at a place</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
that will remain nameless, and it smelled so bad that I threw it away!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thankfully, this burlap was ready to use : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-umYyOVp4PU8/VGbnCM1kvuI/AAAAAAAAFBs/dg3Td5AzVyM/s1600/IMG_1889.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-umYyOVp4PU8/VGbnCM1kvuI/AAAAAAAAFBs/dg3Td5AzVyM/s1600/IMG_1889.JPG" height="220" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
All I had to do was pull a thread to divide the yardage in thirds and then I continued </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
pulling threads until I had about 1/2 to 3/4 inch and I cut it lengthwise as straight as possible.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CipQxyiMJ6Y/VGbnGUgJHYI/AAAAAAAAFB8/wBMipjxNMfc/s1600/IMG_1892.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img alt="burlap table runner" border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CipQxyiMJ6Y/VGbnGUgJHYI/AAAAAAAAFB8/wBMipjxNMfc/s1600/IMG_1892.JPG" height="221" title="no sew burlap table runner" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jhyjugHhMXI/VGbnEmOmCfI/AAAAAAAAFB0/e5oosfoBjlM/s1600/IMG_1894.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jhyjugHhMXI/VGbnEmOmCfI/AAAAAAAAFB0/e5oosfoBjlM/s1600/IMG_1894.jpg" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After I was happy with the sides, I straightened the ends and pulled these threads a </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
little longer than the sides(my preference).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o1hjbZdska4/VGbnKWlfLOI/AAAAAAAAFCM/i_5v-DQ48zs/s1600/IMG_1899.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o1hjbZdska4/VGbnKWlfLOI/AAAAAAAAFCM/i_5v-DQ48zs/s1600/IMG_1899.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The burlap will look perfect on my Thanksgiving table.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ytq1ZHdCfas/VGbnOMmCMHI/AAAAAAAAFCc/UK1Yi6lPTmU/s1600/IMG_1900.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ytq1ZHdCfas/VGbnOMmCMHI/AAAAAAAAFCc/UK1Yi6lPTmU/s1600/IMG_1900.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I ended up with 3 table runners, so I will be able to give two away!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--UIep8di8bg/VGbnMQYN9QI/AAAAAAAAFCU/PFfBV39VeJQ/s1600/IMG_1902.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--UIep8di8bg/VGbnMQYN9QI/AAAAAAAAFCU/PFfBV39VeJQ/s1600/IMG_1902.JPG" height="185" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To help control the fray, it is a good idea to use the zigzag stitch around the table runner!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My guild friend, <a href="http://designsjamie.blogspot.com/2007/05/you-are-invited.html">Jamie of Designs by Jamie</a>, helped me get started on making this easy project.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VuRJmH9GSNQ/VGbnO39a-xI/AAAAAAAAFCk/YGtWSA9v0LE/s1600/IMG_1904.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VuRJmH9GSNQ/VGbnO39a-xI/AAAAAAAAFCk/YGtWSA9v0LE/s1600/IMG_1904.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These table runners were so much fun to make! I know that I could embellish them</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
with paint or add fabric binding, however, I am happy with the</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
simplicity of the burlap and pulled threads : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
piece,</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a Liberty of London mini quilt for my recent LOL swap.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This was a pattern that I had already made, but this time I think</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had a better grasp of circle making : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You will find my first liberty circle quilt<a href="http://piecefullife-elizabeth.blogspot.com/2011/10/finished-liberty-circle-mini-quilt.html#.VGI_LEv7VFw"> here</a> and <a href="http://piecefullife-elizabeth.blogspot.com/2011/10/little-quilt-monday-2a-finish-and-wip.html#.VGJBtkv7VFw">here</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It has always been one of my favorites!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The circular appliqué pattern is found at The Purl Bee<a href="http://www.purlbee.com/2011/02/25/mini-quilt-of-the-month-february-liberty-of-london-tana-lawn/"> here</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This mini finishes at 20"X20" with 20 circle appliqués.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Liberty of London tana lawn fabric is so beautiful</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
that it can make a simple mini turn into something gorgeous! </div>

I made a hexagon pincushion for my Liberty of London swap partner.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IBjeAvRM-Qo/VF_10OnlLXI/AAAAAAAAE_g/ygQtf2s5Zac/s1600/IMG_1870.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IBjeAvRM-Qo/VF_10OnlLXI/AAAAAAAAE_g/ygQtf2s5Zac/s1600/IMG_1870.JPG" height="258" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is the tutorial/process for making this pincushion!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Begin with a 2.5 inch hexagon and sew 1.5 inch strips of fabric around</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the hexagon, log cabin style. Repeat this one more time with your printed fabric.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Xj9Qrl8CGe0/VF_2j7OH2pI/AAAAAAAAE_w/G1rTL2tWp08/s1600/IMG_3770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="liberty of london pincushion" border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Xj9Qrl8CGe0/VF_2j7OH2pI/AAAAAAAAE_w/G1rTL2tWp08/s1600/IMG_3770.JPG" height="400" title="pincushion tutorial" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The last round will be with a solid 2 inch strip.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o4TkNKA49-E/VF_3hJbgKrI/AAAAAAAAFAE/Xn3beDi9RUo/s1600/IMG_3800.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o4TkNKA49-E/VF_3hJbgKrI/AAAAAAAAFAE/Xn3beDi9RUo/s1600/IMG_3800.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now cut a backing and batting piece the same size as your finished hexagon above.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(I added batting because the Liberty of London tana lawn fabric</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
is thinner than regular quilting cotton)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I added some big stitches for added interest and to secure the batting.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
All that is left to do is place the backing fabric right sides together with the top, and </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
sew around, leaving an opening. I fill my pincushions with crushed walnut shells.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Finally, sew up the opening with a slip stitch. TADA!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eROLLEfe34k/VF_16L-SYSI/AAAAAAAAE_o/hr8letkTnF4/s1600/IMG_1869.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eROLLEfe34k/VF_16L-SYSI/AAAAAAAAE_o/hr8letkTnF4/s1600/IMG_1869.JPG" height="536" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hope you will make a few of these as gifts….it's that time of year, you know!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
piece,</div>

I like to display my mini quilts in my sewing room or use them</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
as table mats. But one of my favorite ways to display my mini quilts</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
is with a clipboard.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have a clipboard in my study beside my computer, and I use it as</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
an ever changing piece of art. Sometimes it is a mini quilt.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sometimes I clip an unfinished project.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-njN4EZPs6gI/VFB2ItrnYJI/AAAAAAAAE-0/hjoaIG4vfrQ/s1600/IMG_1858.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-njN4EZPs6gI/VFB2ItrnYJI/AAAAAAAAE-0/hjoaIG4vfrQ/s1600/IMG_1858.JPG" height="554" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And sometimes I clip a quilt block.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-erzefFBF9uQ/VE1pwoXPGkI/AAAAAAAAE-M/kSqFRNgTLRQ/s1600/IMG_1832.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-erzefFBF9uQ/VE1pwoXPGkI/AAAAAAAAE-M/kSqFRNgTLRQ/s1600/IMG_1832.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I decided to enter another quilt in<a href="http://amyscreativeside.com/2014/10/24/bloggers-quilt-festival-hand-quilted-quilts-4/"> Amy's Blogger's Quilt Festival</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This quilt is from an Instagram quilt along called Scrappy Trip Along.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am an active twitter and an IG user, enjoying all the inspiration that can be found there.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made this lap size quilt with my Kaffe Fassett fabric stash. Just like the title of one of his books,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I dream in color : )</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hand quilted this quilt with big stitches, using variegated crochet thread.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the thread that I used when I began big stitching years ago. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I decided if I was going to hand quilt a project, then I wanted it to be seen!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am not a perfect stitcher, but I like the texture that it gives a quilt.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gHEWXfuAAxE/VE1pmJ-2yRI/AAAAAAAAE9s/iBG-KudjaPo/s1600/IMG_1825.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gHEWXfuAAxE/VE1pmJ-2yRI/AAAAAAAAE9s/iBG-KudjaPo/s1600/IMG_1825.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-drWsCvEZObY/VE1pm2BFM5I/AAAAAAAAE9w/X28jrjntXUA/s1600/IMG_1823.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-drWsCvEZObY/VE1pm2BFM5I/AAAAAAAAE9w/X28jrjntXUA/s1600/IMG_1823.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qXfi6UJwSxg/VE1poNuReKI/AAAAAAAAE98/rwDuX6mjf5A/s1600/IMG_1816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="scrappy trip along" border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qXfi6UJwSxg/VE1poNuReKI/AAAAAAAAE98/rwDuX6mjf5A/s1600/IMG_1816.jpg" height="640" title="blogger's quilt festival" width="425" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a scrappy binding and a favorite Kaffe Fassett print for the backing. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NZaKI9d34rg/VE1pu0crKvI/AAAAAAAAE-E/_JPY2kKKAPU/s1600/IMG_1834.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NZaKI9d34rg/VE1pu0crKvI/AAAAAAAAE-E/_JPY2kKKAPU/s1600/IMG_1834.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q8RaluesaA4/VE1pxLMJ4MI/AAAAAAAAE-Q/Z-gCj8IEZx4/s1600/IMG_1835.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q8RaluesaA4/VE1pxLMJ4MI/AAAAAAAAE-Q/Z-gCj8IEZx4/s1600/IMG_1835.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This was a fun quilt to make. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Although the pattern was simple, it made a lovely scrappy quilt.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is always fun when<a href="http://amyscreativeside.com/2014/10/24/bloggers-quilt-festival-mini-quilts-2/"> Amy hosts the Blogger's Quilt Festival</a>!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am entering my mini quilt, Color Curves, this time around.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It all began like this:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0X6P8i-J9wxToROIPn5T6x1Mcq5NYSVvh__OkQR8aFVMWQlAUCsSsqwyMibhuNaW3TsgjBSDyDsjMU6u2gGfnrSql0kmCfiUsWvkp-MXlkGAjNOfdt7qs0YtAtfoPP7UXmLoHbuu6C721/s1600/IMG_2313.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0X6P8i-J9wxToROIPn5T6x1Mcq5NYSVvh__OkQR8aFVMWQlAUCsSsqwyMibhuNaW3TsgjBSDyDsjMU6u2gGfnrSql0kmCfiUsWvkp-MXlkGAjNOfdt7qs0YtAtfoPP7UXmLoHbuu6C721/s1600/IMG_2313.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--FWThCYBU9Q/Ux3ypLzAwGI/AAAAAAAAEkA/MTOsQgP8WKI/s1600/IMG_6934.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--FWThCYBU9Q/Ux3ypLzAwGI/AAAAAAAAEkA/MTOsQgP8WKI/s1600/IMG_6934.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
While playing with my solid scraps and curve piecing I came up with this:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oiUDRFV-1Fk/VDiZI7lZOnI/AAAAAAAAE4w/cB2B9_naxqc/s1600/IMG_3595.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oiUDRFV-1Fk/VDiZI7lZOnI/AAAAAAAAE4w/cB2B9_naxqc/s1600/IMG_3595.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And from there I decided to stop and make it into a mini quilt called Color Curves.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It measures 18 inches X 20 inches.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wO05LZjksjc/VDiY1q0hpBI/AAAAAAAAE4o/YRsSO_tUDIk/s1600/IMG_3596.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wO05LZjksjc/VDiY1q0hpBI/AAAAAAAAE4o/YRsSO_tUDIk/s1600/IMG_3596.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used my favorite big stitches and variegated thread to quilt this colorful mini quilt.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i0PN3qOzoPI/VEvjs77a03I/AAAAAAAAE9M/FPFJ2o0WOeA/s1600/IMG_1795.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i0PN3qOzoPI/VEvjs77a03I/AAAAAAAAE9M/FPFJ2o0WOeA/s1600/IMG_1795.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxm0HWwfHXZOyePHXAVjQExawCaEgwGmUHhRcXctLh7-7o1Ury2cdyzlOjClAG-JTABkx4c8niYykYeC-bQ9gihyDVGd9-Wa-yvZZ6Jbv6rbm-uWySb3aKiYeKbHUo-5VuDoO47-yiP-nN/s1600/IMG_1807.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxm0HWwfHXZOyePHXAVjQExawCaEgwGmUHhRcXctLh7-7o1Ury2cdyzlOjClAG-JTABkx4c8niYykYeC-bQ9gihyDVGd9-Wa-yvZZ6Jbv6rbm-uWySb3aKiYeKbHUo-5VuDoO47-yiP-nN/s1600/IMG_1807.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
